FRONTLINE: digital nation: learning: schools: how google saved a school | PBS

This video really moved me. In Jason Levy you have a man of vision who had a belief that all children can succeed. he took a failing school in New York and transformed it by allowing every child to have access to a laptop. He also understood that children needed to interact with all of the web, so there would be times when they spent their time on My Space or some other program. But there was monitoring of what they did (and they knew it!) as well as an expectation that they would learn and that they were fortunate to have access to the world of learning that the web presented to them. The results have been really good. Watch the video, it really is worthwhile, particularly for people such as myself who are saying that this is the way forward for schools.Well done PBS for making this excellent video and especially well done to all at the school for showing how it can be done!
